I can't believe some of you are so reckless with how you conduct yourself outside the boardroom
you want a seat at the highest table of corporate governance
the one that claims to be of uncompromised integrity, objective wisdom, and authentic thought leadership
yet see what you are doing with your reputation
log on to linkedin and you see a gallery of AI designed infographics and posters that throw mixed signals on who's side you really on? what are you aiming for?
not to mention the very tiny fonts that it resembles the terms and conditions on a loan application are you hoping NRC zooms in to see what you are saying against them?! instead of adding value
on the other hand your board bio is full of flashy headers and operational summits offering no clarity of what role do you want to play - a project manager or fiduciary who guides the boards?
then there are those who rip off whatsapp community messages as their own and within minutes others follow suit - not giving the original or known source it's due credit - so much for authenticity!
you folks really need to respect systems, honour boundries and maintain a stature that reflects on your character as a fearless fiduciary guardian who prioritizes long-term stakeholder truth over compliance theater
your reputation for fierce independence, ethical consistency, and intellectual rigor is your core social proof
🏛️ Trust at the 'governance' level is a binary gate.. it is either entirely present or instantly vaporized long before a formal consideration even begins
when positioning for a board seat any minor friction in your quest to build a social proof doesn't trigger an evaluation process - it kills it
The risk of a overdoing is permanent exclusion
to a selection committee who's job is to filter -will not take a moment to write you off
